Way2Go

Way2Go is the childrens' ministry in Leicester Christian Fellowship.  This is headed up by my wife and I, Steve and Esther Clarke.  We have been members of Leicester Christian Fellowship for over 20 years and were married at All Nations Centre 15 years ago.  We have 3 great children; Jonah is 8 and we have twin girls, Grace and Millie who are 6.

We took over the leading of the Way2Go team in 2008 and we are excited with all God is doing at this time.  In Psalm 8 it says, 'from the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise' and we believe that God has great things for those children and infants and that he loves them dearly.

Our aim is to teach the children about the life of Jesus and the joy of knowing Him.  We teach the kids bible stories and we give them opportunities to experience the life of Jesus through worship, prayer and soaking.  We use art and crafts for the kids to express their thoughts and dreams and also to express how Father God is talking to them.  Through this we have seen great visions and pictures of an 'Open Heaven' and the children have experienced God in a way that most adults would cherish.

In 2009 we stared doing our Way2Go 2.0 sessions, where we have all the kids our for the whole 2 hours on a Sunday morning.  We have invited various leaders from within the church to teach the kids and share all that God gives them to the kids.  We have had some fantastic times where the kids have enjoyed reaching into God and hearing how to deal with their thoughs and imaginations.

We have groups for all age ranges from 0 to 13.  The Twinklers age group provides an area for mothers to take their nursing babies or toddlers during the meeting.  The main meeting can be heard through a speaker in the room.  All the other groups stay in the worship and go to their groups between 11.15-11.30am when the sign goes up on the projector.

Our aim is to give these children a strong belief foundation and a firm relationship with Father God that will grow as they stretch out into all that God has for them in their teens and adult lives.
